  Biography
 

Jerry Cox currently serves as the Director, Security Solutions for CA・s Asia, Pacific and Japan operations. Based in CA・s APJ Headquarters in Hong Kong since October 2005, he travels extensively throughout the region, supporting CA・s sales and technical presales teams. He also works directly with CA customers and partners, focusing on business value achieved through implementation of security solutions.

Prior to joining CA・s APJ team, he served as Director, Security Solutions for CA・s Federal Government business group in the United States. In this role he was involved in providing security solutions for nearly all US Government agencies, including the U.S. Dept. of Defense, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Energy, NASA, Dept. of Agriculture, Dept. of Veterans Affairs and many others. During this period, he also served as Chairman of the U.S. Federal Industry Advisory Council Identity and Access Committee and was involved in many very high level identity and access related initiatives.

Prior to CA, Jerry has worked in the enterprise security software industry since 1984, serving corporate, financial and government customers in sales, technical and management roles. He has worked with many of the top financial institutions and largest corporations in the world, including Bank One, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, MBNA America, Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns, ING, Deutsche Bank, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Allstate Insurance, Bayer, Ford and many others.

Jerry brings to Asia and Pacific region more than twenty years of field security experience across nearly every industry, providing the leadership and direction required to ensure the CA APJ team meets the security management needs of its customers.

Jerry is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

Abstract

Enterprises expecting to maintain a competitive edge today must be agile and able to quickly deploy new applications and services. To do this an enterprise must have the ability to easily manage users and who has access to system, application and data resources. A good identity and access management infrastructure is instrumental in achieving these objectives. This presentation explains how identity and access management systems can help an enterprise be more agile in today・s dynamic, competitive environment.
